To combat the room’s small feel, we focused on enhancing the living room design for a spacious and warm ambiance, while maintaining a modern, yet inviting aesthetic with a touch of luxury. The primary design mood revolves around incorporating wood elements for warmth and a contemporary minimalist style, ‘To achieve this, we opted for floating designs in key areas such as the T’V cabinet, creating an open and airy feel while accommodating practical needs like space for a robotic vacuum cleaner.
To soften transitions and create a cohesive look, curved elements were introduced into the sofa and feature walls, adding a gentle touch and seamlessly blending with the surroundings. In the ceiling design, curved elements were utilized to soften the appearance of beams, reducing bulkiness and drawing focus to the balcony’s scenic views, enhancing the overall ambiance.
Despite the limited space, we included a sofa and TV feature walls to add depth and interest making the room appear larger. Additionally, we chose floating elements for the prayer corner to maintain openness without obstructing views.
In this room layout, the space flows from the foyer into the dining area, then the living room, and finally onto the balcony. To maintain privacy without blocking light, a lattice partition has been cleverly integrated. Rather than using traditional wooden bars. slanted wooden panels are employed, keeping the space feeling open and airy while providing a sense of separation.
To make the most of limited space the partition seamlessly merges with the dining table, doubling as an afunctional art piece. The table’s-rounded legs not only add a sleek touch but also prevent any painful collisions with sharp corners. Its size and material are chosen to mimic the look and feel of solid wood, enhancing the room’s natural aesthetic.
In the master bedroom, abundant natural light floods in through a large window and balcony, creating a bright atmosphere. However, maximizing storage while maintaining an open feel poses a challenge, especially with the presence of a substantial bed
To address these requirements, we integrated the mirror with the desk to save space, opting for a minimalistic design to avoid clutter the desk area includes subtle shelving for additional storage without overwhelming the room, Book storage is incorporated into the background wall behind the bed, utilizing cabinets to maximize space. The design of the cabinets allows the bed to recess slightly into the wall, with the upper cabinets extending outward to provide extra storage without encroaching too much on sleeping space, ensuring a comfortable and uncluttered environment.
In the common bedroom, the design followed a similar approach as the living room by incorporating curved elements into the feature to maintain visual interest and openness. Rather than covering the entire wall, we left some areas of the original wall exposed to create depth and reduce the sense of monotony and confinement. The existing wardrobe was retained but the room layout was altered to better suit the new configuration. The wardrobe seamlessly blends into the design ensuring functionality without compromising aesthetics. To enhance the ceiling design, we introduced curved elements to add a playful touch and increase the room’s visual appeal, contributing to a more dynamic and engaging space.
